Starting next Thursday we will have the weekly king of the hill duel
off, where you can show your might and earn some coin while you are
at it. The games begin when the host will collect 1 silver piece entry
fee from each contestant. These contestants will be paired off and
duel until there is only one winner. The winner of each duel gets
1 gp. The winner of all the duels gets the silver he/she has won along
the way as well as the remaining of the pot. The winner takes the
pot. The winner will have the option to choose and lead the next quest.
The games will run in the following manner:
1) The host collects 1 gp from all contestants.
2) The host identifies who will pair off against each other.
3) The host calls the each pair of challengers to the center spot
for the challenge.
4) Upon the "ready, set, go!" One of the challengers requests
the duel...and they fights begin.
5) The winner gets 1 silver piece. The loser gets to live.
6) This continues until all pairs have fought. The host then identifies
new pairs between the winners. And the cycle is repeated.
7) Once there is only one challenger left, he/she gets the remaining
pot which will be 1/2 of all silver contributed.
8) The winner then also can choose what quest the guild will head
off on to tackle. The winner has the honor of leading the expedition
if he/she chooses to do so.
Rules:
- All spells, items, and pets are fair game in the battle.
- Any damage caused by anyone/anything other than the other contestant
will cause a restart of the challenge (once both parties had a change
to recharge back to full strength)
- Running too far from the duel stake will be considered a forfeit
and thus a loss.
- Any disturbances outside the game (e.g.. phone call, lockup, loss
of connection) is that contestant's problem, the challenge continues.
If the contestant drops out for any of these reasons it is still considered
a forfeit and the other contestant wins.
- This duel off is for guild members, officers, or the GM only. Initiates
and those not in the guild have to sit out.
